"Hip Hop in the Park" is an annual event that promotes Hip Hop music and it's culture. This free, all ages event has been long running for, an incredible,15 years. Hip Hop junkies young and old, alike, congregate at People's Park in Berkeley, CA., to receive their Hip Hop music/culture fix. Aside from the music, live painting is featured and finished pieces are put up for sale. Off to the side-- you can watch a plethora of b-boys and b-girls, displaying the their amazing break-dancing skills.
Independent artists, both local and from afar provide major eargasms, and grace the stage with their raw presence and profound lyrics. Oh, and we must not to forget about all the DJ's, too!
This year's show was hosted by McFlossafee and the line-up included artists such as, Eligh, Dibia$e, OmarOffendum, Mandeep Sethi, Moe Green, Hopie Spitshard, and Josie Stingray.
